Its amazing reading some of the comments from the idiots who try and make fun of the situatioion who have no heart and say stuff like that becase that’s there way of dealing with the situation. To those people obviously its two cats where one has just died and the other one is doing something to try and make a difference. Lets say those cats are you and your best friend that just got hit by a car. People just looking and and some person instead of doing something that may help sits there and video tapes you. Nice job looser camera person.

For all those cat experts out there who think the cat is humping its friend, guess what cat mating is freaking violent! They are not like dogs who just hump things. What he is doing is four paw kneading, I have seen many cats do this. He is not moving his hips you idiots, he’s moving his back feet. So no he did not just walk up on another cat and think he could get some. If you have ever had a cat as a pet you have had a cat try to wake you up in the morning and how do they do that?… by standing on you. Cats are very social creatures and they form close bonds with each other and with people. All you cool guys on here who think you are making yourself look good to the other cool guys by saying such idiotic things like its just trying to get it on can just go form your own cool guy commune on an island somewhere because guess what all the rational people see right through your s***.

I’m not a cat lover, and sure as hell don’t shed a tear when they get killed on the highway anymore than I would if it was a chicken, dog or armadillo. But, I absolutely loved this music. I don’t really even know what language it is in, but the singer has a beautiful voice to my ears.
Animals do grieve. This video took me back to a National Geographic Special where a mother monkey’s baby was killed by a big male. They filmed the mother holding the dead baby day in and day out afterward for weeks, never moving from the one place where she had taken the dead baby up a tree. The mother finally died of starvation and grief. I really do hate to see animals (or people) suffer.
I shot and killed animals just for fun when I was a kid. My grandmother got terribly upset one time when my cousins and I shot a Blue Jay beside her house. She yelled and screamed at us and told us never to kill the birds around the house again because she loved to hear them singing each morning. We could hear the tearfulness in her breaking voice. We never did that again near the house.
After hunting the same large acreages day after day, year after year (there was no one hunting those places but me, either), I could hardly find a rabbit, lizard, squirrel, bird or anything that crawled or flew except for a few migratory birds that couldn’t be found the rest of the year. I was about 12 or 13 when I realized what was happening on these properties and finally knew that it was my own damn stupid fault. It was frustrating because I used everything that moved for target practice and there was nothing left moving to shoot! It saddened me too, and I realized what I had been doing for so many years was somehow wrong. I decided I would no longer use any animal for target practice unless I was legally hunting and planned to eat the game. I never went back on that.
All birds and mammals(cats included) form strong bonds with other members of their species and sometimes with different species (people include). But you all know that already if you have ever had a pet higher on our family tree than a reptlile. When those bonds are broken or interfered with, the instinct to reconnect is strong and emotional. That’s right… I’m saying this for the first time in my life, but animals do indeed have feelings. Some are savage feelings. Some are tender. That’s where you got your feelings from… from your ancestors on our family tree! That being said, I believe evolution to be a fact of life. Furthermore, I am a “creationist”. When you figure out how those two ideas are really not in opposition, you can sit back and laugh as people argue the pros and cons for their chosen ideology. It doesn”t matter whether the cat was grieving or not, he (or she) was acting instinctively.

So let me get this straight; The one cat gets hit by a car, the other cat is stricken by the loss of its friend, or possible partner, and three people decide to just stand there and watch, one recording the poor cat’s ordeal? F!@#ing Europeans, or middle eastern (I’m assuming by the plates on the cars). I’d make sure to treat your mothers the same way too.

WOW! What an emotional video….tears flowed and now in response to the comments.
PLEASE! The live cat had scars all over his face, especially his eyes. These are not “cushy” cats. They are alley, street or feral cats. Feral cats do not associate or need human beings for survival, but “do” depend on one another and in large societies only the ALFA Male approaches human beings, as a representative of their family. Cats are socially aloof to humans but bond for food and comfort. They also bond with each other one on one or in feral communities. Just like wild dogs and wild horses do. So DON’T compare domestic animals to independent ones.
The dead cat “meant” something to the other cat. The cat could have been his partner, lover and/or friend. Kneading is indeed what he was doing. Why was he kneading? Probally for more than one reason. He layed next to the cat, when it would not move. Then tried to stir him up again. Even with people watching, he did NOT leave. That bond was strong! As with men, Tom cats are so out of there when caught in the act, if SEX was all it was!
So Sorry Mr. Vet, but as a live long cat owner, YOU are WRONG!
Now, a comment to the human kind…
Jerry was an extraordinary turn-around in your life. The intelligence and honesty you’ve shared was tremendous and KUDDOS for sharing the growth inside you.
Life is a journey…yearn to feel not become numb

When one of my cats was found dead in the bushes, my other cat found it first. We were devastated by the loss. We buried the cat in our backyard, but the other cat didnt stop visiting the spot where the dead cat had been laying. She visited every moment she could for about a week, meowing and searching. It was tough to watch.

Animals do show empathy and loss. This cat is trying to get its mate to wake and play.. It is sad. Today, driving down the street a cardinal was bouncing around a bird that was downed, chirping, crying. Making a fuss. I pulled over, grabbed a napkin and picked the bird up. I think it was just stunned. It was blinking, moving. I am not sure if it was hurt. The wings seemed ok. I moved it over into the ivy and left it where if it is stunned, she might recover. Cardinals, like many animals, mate for life and when they lose their partner, it is very, very traumatic for them. Swans are another bird like that. Really, lets have some empathy and I would love to know who the fool that shot this video, without offering comfort or care to the animal that was dead or the one that was morning, is. This is nothing less than sad.

I’m going to wait until my kitty wakes up again and i’m going to hug him and tell him I love him, and that he is good. And then he is going to lay on my chest, stomach and legs while I sit at the computer for about 15 minutes, until he gets bored. Then he will jump away and scream for me to feed him.

Well..what can I say? OMFG? Are some of you for real? What makes you think that this cat was humping the other one? Your all screwed up!! Yeah his hips were moving so what, he was trying to pick his friend up!! The point is that the cat that was trying to get the other cat up was almost near death. WTF would you do if someone was dying before your eyes..just walk away or try and screw them? Your Screwed up!! Pisses me off that you the Vets think you know it all. You actually don’t know Piss all… my sisters cat died that she loved dearly…and I was there to see the Vet put him down because of their wrong doing.
This cat was only doing what he thought would be right to try and get his friend up and walking. If you guys can’t see that your screwed up!! Who in their right mind would think that a cat is humping another cat while it’s near death? Crazy people. :-S I have my cat that does that me when he lays on me… he cuddles with me and does that what i call it Punching Dough motion he does it to me to show his affection. And this cat was doing that with the cat that got hit by a car…..maybe in hopes to get the other one to come back to him. And on another note …my sisters cat ,was brothers with my cat have the same mom..they bonded, and ALWAYS layed by each others when they got together..not in the way you perves are thinking. My cat was living with my dad and mom.. and when he returned to my sisters house to find that his brother was no longer here he would try and look for his brother…sniffing around… meowing..and even not eating for a while. Cat’s are very emotional. My cat keeps trying to look for his brother and I see the sadness in his eyes. Animals have emotions. This cat in the video was only doing what it could do to try and revive his friend. It is very sad. And I am enraged that you people think you know it all. The point that myself and others is that the cat laying down is near death!! Makes me sick how you say the other one is humping the almost dead cat!! UNREAL!! :-S SICKOS! Hate what I am saying I don’t care….not going into a debate about it. I am showing my love for the cat that is near death here. Hope that he/she still lived. xxx <3 <3

First of all, cats obviously dont think about sex like we humans do. for a lot of people, it is just a recreational activity as opposed to love but for all other mammals sex is about the reproduction of LIFE. if the cat was trying to hump the dead friend, it was more likely as a last ditch effort to bring back life in general, not to a last chance to have a little fun. Second of all theres no guarantee that he was humping its just the closest thing to showing true love to a fellow cat when he cant SPEAK. When a guy is screwing a girl for fun and not for love, there is by no means a look of sadness on his face, but this cat clearly looks sad.

Some of these comments are outrageous, especially the guy that said that the live cat was trying to pick the dead cats pocket. I shamefully laughed out loud regarding that comment and the pure gall that it took to think it up..
I just hope the cat somehow survived………….[Reply]
