I wonder if they give her a mic to sing, turned all the way down, but then play a recording so that she doesn’t sound like crap. It would also be a way of getting around the “lip sync” accusations.

No…they use auto tune. The feed you are hearing is pre-auto tune. Yes, she sucks…well and truly. And she always has. Same for Ricky Martin, and a host of other pop “stars”.
They spend so much time on their “bling” and image, they forget the most important part of being in the music biz…the music!
You want the real deal? Check out Avril Lavigne, Cherly Crow, Nora Jones, etc. Real songwriters, real musicians, and real vocalists!! Britney would not even be qualified to sit in on one of these others artists practice sessions…she simply would not make the grade.

October 29th, 2010 at 12:28 am@DrunkAvrilBlows, That’s terrible…I don’t like the sound of her voice even after the sound engineers have spent millions of dollars fixing it.

I own the DVD of Britney Spears live from Las Vegas and this video’s clearly badly overdubbed..

Live
Haa well I kinda think that the fact that she was also dancing was a big factor to the way she sounds…and that she was somehow panting while she sang….I mean come on do you sound real good when you sing, dance, jump around and stuff? I tried haha it was awful. Other than that it’s a bit hard to hear yourself sing to determine if your going for the right note when a huge crowd’s battling with your vocal chords.
Well that’s just my opinion. XP
Anyway, I watched Avril live when she was still starting out. She sounds bad live…don’t know if she was nervous or something, but it definitely is a feat to actually sing live.

Agrees with Live
I’m a singer and it is very difficult to sing while dancing and when you can’t hear your self or the chords. I have heard her sing without mike, ect and she actually has a really good voice, better then on her recordings.

THAT WAS the unmixed sound from her live mic and shows thats what it really sounds like.. neat mic only.. puffs and pants included.. OF COURSE they make sure the `house` mix is perfect.. I`m told a Take That concert was `aided` by computer programme to drop in any notes dropped or missed… well.. surprise.

Don’t be to harsh.. She’s dancing while singing so she can’t breathe. She sound’s better when she’s not tired and she standing still.

Oh no, the secret is out, how could this be. /s
Anyone who thought maintaining perfect pitch while running around for 1 hour is physically possible is stupid.

mgsh guys, maybe she’s not an awesome singer ever her songs are the best oh the world, but you have to watch her dance, and then you understand why she’s so amazing.

Shes not trying to sing though, shes just going thru the motions because shes lip syncing to the backing track. Britney isnt as bad a singer as this makes her sound its just to have her lips moving in time to the backing track.
If she was trying to sing she would sound much better than this.. of course her studio recordings will sound better. Shes not some awesome live singer like Emily Harder but shes till reasonable.

Make it live
Britney just has very bad singing technique. Singers can dance and sing if they’ve done the work on the physical side of singing. She just sounds really untrained – or really poorly trained.

@Dan, I think its honestly not thats shes a bad singer…Or its live…Or the hertz was changed and unsynched with her natural chords…
Its got to be to much special sauce from the 10 cock meat sandwiches she swallowed whole prior to appearing on stage…
You know ” dem lil whaiate gurls gots an affinity for nigger cock mang”
“If your gurl cums homes hair all raggedy, missing her panties, lipstick and makeup smudged and her breath smells like bleach”
“Well than I guess its obvious by now her mouths been up all night in the club sliding down my stripper pole” “Nackkkkkkgeeerrr!!!’

@Ray, actually… I’ve worked a bit with pitch correctors, and although they can change the pitch and quality of every single note individually… there’s no way that her going from singing one note to breathing another would work with a pitch corrector. it’s lip sync’d… it has to be with how many times she was breathing the notes rather than singing them, and the point where she stopped singing all together… it would have had nothing to work with. you have to put a note in to get a note out.
we were just hearing what was going into her headphones.
