Black Colonel Sanders Running for Governor of New York

This year’s Silly Season has seen quite a few crackpots running for office, but few are as entertaining as Jimmy McMillan. Mr. McMillan wants to be the next governor of New York, so he is running as the candidate for the Rent is Too Damn High Party.

You have to hand it to Mr. McMillan who, unlike most gadfly candidates, manages to run on both style and substance. The RITDH Party’s appeal to the common man is built into the name. And who else has the beard, the gloves, and the rhymes (music auto-starts) to get the message out? Certainly not Carl Paladino or Andrew Cuomo.

If he does happen to lose the NY governor’s race, we would love to see him team up with Epic Beard Man for a talk show on CNN.
